約2年に渡って携わってきたEXPO 2025 大阪・関西万博、水上ショー「アオと夜の虹のパレード」。
万博会場内のウォータープラザ（面積約8,800平方メートルの巨大な空間）に、300基を超える噴水装置と映像、レーザー、照明、炎、音響などが連動した万博史上最大級の水上ショーです。
モンブランでは、キャラクター開発からCGディレクション、アニメーション、コンポジットなど映像全般を担当しました。今回のような多様な特殊効果をつかった制作は初めての経験で、毎週チームで話し合い、映像だからこそできる演出やデザイン、表現手法を試行錯誤しながら追求しました。
モンブランが得意なキャラクターアニメーションもショー演出において大事な役割となっており、子供から大人まで心を揺さぶるような最高のエンターテイメントショーに仕上がったと思います！

EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, a water show “Under the Midnight Rainbow” that I have been involved in for about two years.
This is one of the largest water shows in Expo history, with over 300 fountain devices, music, lights and lasers working together in the Water Plaza (a huge space of approximately 8,800 square meters in area) at the Expo site!
Montblanc was in charge of all aspects of the visuals, from character (ao dodo, extinct animal) development to CG direction, animation, and compositing.
This was the first experience for us to work on such a large scale production with fountains, images, lasers, lighting, flames, sound, etc. We spent day after day discussing with everyone, pursuing the direction, design, and expression that could only be achieved through the use of images.
Character animation, which is one of Montblanc’s specialties, also played an important role in the show’s production, and we adjusted the animation until the very end!
We worked hard and uncompromisingly through trial and error to create the best entertainment show that will move the hearts of both children and adults alike!
