九州国立博物館キューハクふむふむ

Kyushu National Museum - Kyuhaku FumuFumu

開館20周年を記念して九州国立博物館の「文化交流展示室」がリニューアルし、壁３面+床面を使った
イマーシブシアターが誕生しました。
モンブラン・ピクチャーズはそのシアターコンテンツの1つ「キューハクふむふむ」の
企画・制作を担当しています。

文化交流展示室のテーマは、「日本とアジア、ヨーロッパとの文化交流の歴史」。
このテーマに合わせて旧石器時代から近世までの日本のの文化交流の歴史を5つのテーマで区切り、
横幅合計28mの3つの壁面スクリーンに、ぎゆーーーーっと圧縮してアニメーションで表現しました。

登場するキャラクターは400体以上。大スクリーンの隅々まで楽しんでいただけるよう、
画面いっぱいに配置されています。
いずれの時代も九州国立博物館の専門家の監修を受け、嘘の無いよう試行錯誤しながら作り上げました。

床面にはそれぞれの時代の文化財がアイコンとなって次々と現れます。
体験者が踏むとアイコンは壁面へと駆け上がり、短い説明とともに文化財が使われる様子が映し出されます。
これらの文化財は、隣の文化交流展示室で実際に展示が行われているものです。

九州国立博物館には、日本と海外の文化交流を物語る多数の文化財が展示されていますが、
文化財は、それを使ったであろう人々の営みと結びつけて鑑賞すると、その価値や魅力がより深く感じられます。

観て楽しむのもよし、踏んで遊ぶもよし、展示室の”本物”を鑑賞する前に、キューハクふむふむで思い思いに歴史を楽しんでいただければと思います。

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its opening, the Kyushu National Museum has renewed its Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall, unveiling a brand-new immersive theater using three surrounding walls and a fully projected floor.

MontBlanc Pictures was in charge of planning and producing one of the theater’s featured contents: “Kyuhaku Fumu Fumu.”

The theme of the Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall is “The history of cultural exchange between Japan and Asia, and Europe.”
Following the hall’s original structure, which divides this history into five thematic periods—from the Paleolithic era to the early modern period—we transformed that expansive timeline into a fully animated experience across three wall screens spanning a total width of 28 meters.

Over 400 characters appear in the animation, carefully arranged so that no matter where you look on the screen, there’s always something happening.
Every era depicted in the content was developed under the supervision of museum experts to ensure historical accuracy—no made-up facts, just lots of trial and error.

Cultural artifacts from each era appear as icons on the floor.
When a visitor steps on an icon, it “jumps” up onto the wall screen, triggering an animation that shows how the artifact was used, accompanied by a brief explanation.
All of these artifacts can also be seen on display just next door in the Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall.

Kyushu National Museum holds an incredible collection of cultural objects that speak to Japan’s long and diverse history of contact with the outside world.
And when we view these artifacts through the lens of the lives and stories of the people who once used them, we begin to feel their true depth and significance.
